Our Story

2006 The First Evidence Management Trial Reveal partners with the UK Home Office and South West Police to run the first trial of body cameras on an evidence management system.

2010 The First Camera Identifying the market needs through our evidence management software, Reveal design and build the market’s first body- worn camera for the security services.

2011 The Big Red Switch We pioneer the only single red activation slider for a body camera, a purposeful and overt action by the user to make it clear when the camera is recording.

2012 The Front-Facing Screen The signature Reveal feature gives the wearer the option to show the person in front of the lens what the camera is seeing. This has a proven calming effect on people, de-escalating aggressive behaviour time and again.

2014 Secure Recordings Reveal cameras are the first to introduce AES encryption to protect footage files from manipulation from the moment it is recorded.

2016 The Articulated Head The first directional lens opens up a range of possibilities for use including in vehicles, as an interview recorder, handheld camera, or mounted on headwear.

2017 International Moves  Reveal’s sales grow outside of the UK as we begin to support customers in India, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia and the USA. 

2018 Health, Education, and Retail Reveal release the first compact body camera with Calla, introducing a new range of sectors to the benefits of this technology.

2021 Connected Intelligence We introduce the first body camera empowered by cutting-edge AI, offering advanced features such as facial recognition.

2022 The Brand Police Trust Reveal becomes the favoured supplier of body-worn technology to over 70% of the UK’s police forces.

2023 Protecting Sports Officials The England Football Association (The FA) announce their trial of Reveal KS4 cameras on 100 grassroots referees to tackle rising levels of abuse and aggression.

2024 The First Facial Recognition Trial GO! Southampton partner with Reveal to equip door staff at 7 of the city’s busiest social venues with K7 body cameras to enhance safety within Southampton's vibrant night-time economy.
